We’re thrilled to share Tableau has received an Industry Excellence Award from Dresner Advisory Services. Dresner recognized Tableau as an overall leader for business intelligence. The award honors “vendors who demonstrate excellence across all categories of measurement: technology, sales/service, value, and confidence,” according to the firm.

We’re proud to announce Tableau Online has successfully completed its SOC 2 Type II audit. We worked with MossAdams LLP, an independent certified public accounting firm, to perform an in-depth audit of the control objects and activities for Tableau Online. The Type II audit validates the strength of our controls over time and highlights our ongoing commitment to security.

There are no boring building roofs in Shanghai. Because “everything needs a proper cap,” says Thomas Yap, who leads the charge to establish Tableau in China. So to put on a “proper cap," Tableau co-founder and chief scientist Dr. Pat Hanrahan and I travelled to Shanghai to officially launch our operations there.
