LinkedIn Recognizes Tableau as Top Company in 2017

Today we are sharing our new subscription pricing model for all of Tableau’s products. Subscriptions are a key component to helping our customers deploy and scale Tableau easier and with greater flexibility.

Tableau headquarters has moved to the NorthEdge building in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. The building was designed to inspire employee connections and collaboration and has immediate access to the Burke-Gilman Trail and is just north of the iconic Seattle landmark, Gas Works Park.

We are excited to announce a new addition to the Tableau family. Yesterday, we announced that Dan Miller will become Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Sales, Services, and Support effective February 13, 2017. In this role, Dan will head up our global sales organization, helping our customers to continue to expand and grow with Tableau.

I'd like to share with you an internal memo our CEO Adam Selipsky sent to Tableau employees earlier today.

We’ve decided it’s time to broaden our leadership team. I’m thrilled to share Adam Selipsky will join Tableau as our new CEO. Adam has spent more than a decade building Amazon Web Services from its inception. He’s been part of the leadership team that established AWS as the indisputable market leader in cloud platforms. Adam will start his new role on September 16, and we’re excited to further our mission under his leadership.

We are excited to announce that we have acquired Hyper, a breakthrough technology in data processing that we believe can further revolutionize business analytics. Hyper is a high-performance database system. It will be integrated into Tableau’s product offerings and bring a host of new capabilities to Tableau customers.

We’re thrilled to share Montclare has named Tableau as one of the top 20 SaaS companies in the world!

We’re thrilled to share Tableau has received an Industry Excellence Award from Dresner Advisory Services. Dresner recognized Tableau as an overall leader for business intelligence. The award honors “vendors who demonstrate excellence across all categories of measurement: technology, sales/service, value, and confidence,” according to the firm.

We’re proud to announce Tableau Online has successfully completed its SOC 2 Type II audit. We worked with MossAdams LLP, an independent certified public accounting firm, to perform an in-depth audit of the control objects and activities for Tableau Online. The Type II audit validates the strength of our controls over time and highlights our ongoing commitment to security.
