We are excited to announce a new integration with NetSuite, a provider of cloud-based financials/ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites.

With this free feature, you can export saved searches and reports from NetSuite to Tableau. Then you can find real-time insights and drive decisions using Tableau’s powerful analytics engine. You can also blend NetSuite data with other data to identify trends, set benchmarks, and spot new opportunities. (Note: The export option must be enabled by the NetSuite admin.)

Key benefits include:

  • Seamless business analysis: Through the joint solution, users can easily leverage ERP, CRM, and ecommerce data to identify key performance indicators (KPI) and gain insights into overall business performance.
  • Visual analytics: Interactive dashboards can dynamically filter data, split trends across different categories, or run an in-depth cohort analysis.
  • Deep statistics: Users can export critical business data to run trend analyses, regressions, correlations, and more.
  • Interactive mapping: Beautiful, interactive worldwide maps provide location-based insights into business performance.

Here’s a short video that shows this new feature in action:

Are the exported files "live" against NetSuite data. And if not - is there an automated way to generate the exports to a location (like FTP, Dropbox, etc)?

Wondering the same. We are possibly moving to NetSuite for our ERP Solution and am trying to determine this before we make our final decision.

Did you ever get any insight on this?

To get "LIVE" data, we export from NetSuite to Google Sheets, and now are just connecting Google Sheets to Tableau.

Connector for having Google Sheets automatically fetch NetSuite saved searches is here:

Basic process:
1. Create a saved search in NetSuite
2. Create new Google Sheet
3. Install Connector as a domain install: https://gsuite.google.com/marketplace/app/netsuite_data_exporter/5536004...
4. Go to "Add-Ons" in Google Sheets Menu, and go to "NetSuite Data Exporter" > "Request Search Results"
5. If you have 2factor auth for your NetSuite install (which I think is mandatory for Admin level accounts), either login with a non-admin account, or setup a new Access Token in NetSuite. (Good instructions for setting up Access Token via NetSuite's existing "Integrations" feature is here: https://support.cazoomi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010093392-How-to-Setup-... )
6. Once you have your Token setup, fill it into the Google Sheets NetSuite Data Exporter App, and follow the install instructions offered by the Google App Maker here: https://gurussolutions.com/sites/default/files/finder/NetSuite-Data-Expo... -- You are now on Step 4 of their guide. They don't explain how to make an access token)
7. A day or two later, you'll get an email from GURUS Solutions, you need them to activate your account.
8. Once setup, you can now export SAVED SEARCHES from NetSuite, to Google Sheets, and then Google Sheets to Tableau.

This is the only way i've found to get live NetSuite data into Tableau. It's a bit messy, but can be done without any code.

None of this is in English. That video was very thorough
