Tableau Conference ‘Call for Participation’: Tips for Submitting Your Session Proposal
3 tips to submitting a compelling Tableau Conference session proposal.
What makes the Tableau Conference so special? The DataFam, of course! The annual gathering is the place to learn and be inspired on your data journey—and an opportunity to share your insights, stories, and to give back to others, helping empower everyone to do more with data.
The Tableau Conference 2026 “Call for Participation" (CFP) invites the DataFam—our community, customers, partners, and data enthusiasts—to present full sessions at TC26, including 20-minute theater sessions, 40-minute breakout sessions, and 60-minute roundtables.
The CFP for TC26 in-person sessions is now open, and closes on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. PT
If your session is selected, and all parties accept to present and speak in-person at TC26, confirmed speakers will receive a complimentary pass to Tableau Conference 2026 in San Diego May 5–7!
Sharing a session proposal is a great way to participate at the conference. If you’re considering submitting to the CFP, here are three tips to help make a compelling proposal:
1. Share your expertise
Tell us about a project you are passionately working on that is making a difference, solving a business problem, helping your team, your coworkers, your partners, and your customers. We’re especially looking for submissions that focus on the TC26 content themes:
- Agentic Analytics — Show us how humans with agents can move beyond traditional BI to fuel smarter, proactive insights.
- One Interoperable Portfolio — Show us how to leverage a comprehensive portfolio to address any data and analytics use case.
- Data Culture and Community — Show us how you use Tableau and Salesforce to make more informed decisions and drive success.
2. Demonstrate your data chops
Data, data, data! Tell your stories of business learnings and “wow” the crowd with your creative use cases. Show off your data-driven journey with metrics that matter. Take the audience beyond the dashboard by sharing the impact of your insights, highlighting measurable success stories, and demonstrating the real-world implications of your data analysis.
3. Be specific and actionable
Start your title with a verb to make it actionable and interesting for the attendee. Use Title Case and remain within the 60-character count. For example, “Grab Your Stakeholders’ Attention: Create Impactful Vizzes”.
In your abstract, be specific about the value of your session and include the relevant product, audience, or industry. Use sentence cases and remain within the 200-character count. For example, “Are your Tableau dashboards falling short? Join us for this advanced session and learn how to go the distance with parameters, leaving your interactivity woes in the rearview mirror.”
