Business Intelligence to the People: #TCCEU11 Day 1
At the opening keynote, Christian Chabot welcomed the "Magic 150" here at Tableau's first European Customer Conference: the visionary customers and partners who are bringing a new era of business intelligence to Europe.
It's a high energy vibe here in Amsterdam, with customers in from all over Europe and jetlagged Americans getting through on adrenalin.
Later in Christian's keynote, he showed a demo of half a million rows of historical NYSE Euronext data, building a an interactive dashboard right on stage and looking at what happened in trading during the Fukushima nuclear disaster.
The main theme of Christian's presentation was that business intelligence should be built for people. It should be easy to use, fast, and fun. The sluggish, slow-moving, command and control tools of the past are done. It's a new day for anyone who needs business intelligence.
And so began the first Tableau Customer Conference in Europe.
