DataFam Speaks: Chris Hastie

Chris began his data journey when working on the ETL and reporting of procurement data in the healthcare industry, where it quickly became clear that the design and creation of new processes and visualizations was a keen interest. Chris dedicated as much time as possible towards learning new ways to both construct dashboards with accessible supporting processes and to clean up unnecessarily lengthy or convoluted processes behind existing systems.

Continuing this trend at InterWorks, his passion is not only to personally provide elegant and simple solutions to complex problems but also to provide others with the knowledge and tools to do this themselves. As Chris has grown in his role, he has further developed skills and shifted focus evermore towards process automation and backend development, from initial data sourcing through to cloud data warehousing and preparing data for analysis; which aligns very well with Chris' passion for being a Tableau DataDev.
