The study found a strong data culture and investments that extend beyond technology to people and process were vital components for success in the digital economy. The study drew from a global audience of large enterprises (500+ employees), including organizations from Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, U.K., and the U.S, and looked at 14 different metrics in four areas:
- Financial: revenue, profitability, capital costs, operational costs
- Customer: new customer acquisitions, customer satisfaction
- Employee: employee retention, productivity, retention, compliance
- Product: time-to-market, innovation, resilience, competitive advantage
