Whereas the Upgrade Assistance was only available for pre-production environments, Services Assisted engagements are available for multiple environments, including production environments. Global Services has assisted thousands of customers large and small with their upgrade and migration efforts. In addition to the actual upgrade, you will receive in-depth instruction on best practice for Tableau Server operation, maintenance, monitoring, and future scalability.

Your upgrade is an opportunity to get the most out of your Tableau implementation, and Global Services would like to make sure you have the tools you need to realize the value of your investment. After your request is received, you will receive a response from Tableau Global Services within the next 2-5 business days requesting a call to assess your environment and confirm suitability for the Upgrade Assistance Program, and determine appropriate windows for your engagement.

If your environment is experiencing issues after an upgrade, please note: the Services Assisted Upgrade Engagement is not a replacement Tableau's Support request process in an urgent production scenario.
