About
Ross is a Principal Software Engineer at Tableau, where he works on the AQL Interface team. Ross graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a B.S.E. in computer science. Prior to Tableau, Ross spent six years at Microsoft leading development of the query execution engine for SQL Server 7.0 and SQL Server 2000 before moving on to roles at Westside.com and BEA Systems. He joined Tableau in 2005, and has contributed to many features including the calculation engine, hyperlinks, and Tableau Server's server and web client components. Most recently Ross has been focused on developing new features in the calculation language to enable users to answer more questions within Tableau.
