Atlanta Public Schools (APS) is an urban district with more than 51,000 students, of which 76 percent are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch. The district recently implemented a 30 million dollar turnaround strategy and began administering benchmark exams to measure student proficiency throughout the academic year. APS’s Research & Evaluation team used Tableau to summarize data from school improvement strategies. These dashboards allow Turnaround Strategy partners and school staff to better support student achievement by using analytics to make data-driven decisions.
Boulder Valley School District provides an innovative approach to education and strives to graduate successful, curious, lifelong learners. In this talk, see how Tableau is connecting traditionally isolated datasets to create and deliver timely, personalized, and visually engaging dashboards to educators. Learn how well-developed dashboard are changing the way educators discuss and use data. The BVSD approach includes: a collaborative design process; connecting Tableau to a data warehouse; developing dashboards that empower users to explore and take action; building a hybrid security model that delivers the data that each user needs and has permission to see.
