- Welcome & Introduction by Mark Wu, Tableau Ambassador
- General Mills: Our journey with Tableau Server by Patrick Philipp
- Tableau Server 10.3 & 10.4 New Feature Demo by Mark Wu
- Live Q&A
General Mills installed Tableau Server in 2016, and within nine months had seen the number of people interested in using the platform jump from 20 to over 10,000. As the number of users increased, they found that the default installation was not keeping pace with end user growth, and more importantly, with users' performance expectations. Join us on the journey and see how we re-architected our deployment with the help of Tableau Professional Services and created Tableau Dashboards to help us proactively monitor and improve our Tableau Server environment. This session is part of the retail track.
This demo is for Tableau server and site admins. What are the new feature of Tableau Server 10.3 & 10.4 and how to set them up on server settings? What are the server resource impacts and what are the controls that server admins have while enabling those new features? The demo will focus the following new features: Tableau automatic query caching after extracts, data-driven alerts, Tableau data source certifications vs recommendations, publishing to older versions of server, and discussions around your data.
Meet the speakers:
