On November 12, Tableau, in partnership with DataBlick and Mapbox, is hosting the Kenya Day for Data in Nairobi at the Trademark Hotel. This event will be live-streamed via WebEx for those who are not located in Kenya.

Actionable data and timely analytics are vital for understanding and addressing the challenges of our global community. People around the world have answered the call and are leveraging data, analytics, and Tableau to take on issues of peace and security, health, sustainable development and prosperity, and justice as well as to drive forward progress on the Sustainable Development Goals.

Join us on November 12 to learn about how organizations such as the World Food Programme, the World Health Organization, PATH, and others are using data, analytics, and Tableau. The event will also feature skills-building sessions, designed to help you grow in your data journey so you can accomplish the same.

  • Learn about the development and use of a multi-disease and health area dashboard as well as how Tableau made a one time static report become an explorable "data fest" for county-level decision makers in Kenya.

  • In this presentation, the WFP Regional Bureau of East and Central Africa will talk about the use of Tableau in developing visual analytics to tackle SDG 2, Zero Hunger. Specifically, the team will showcase the Project Fund Status Dashboard, which is used as a key resources for country-level decision making in the region. It was recently recently transitioned from Excel, enabling real-time reporting and greater interactivity.

You will also learn how to leverage these programs and establish your own internal community so you can further grow a culture of data-driven decision making in your organization.
