This year, systems that support large volumes of both structured and unstructured data will continue to rise. The market will demand platforms that help data custodians govern and secure big data while empowering end users to analyze that data. Each year, Tableau starts a conversation about the new ways big data is changing the face of business. That discussion drives our list of top big data trends for the following year.

In this webinar, explore:

  • Emerging trends in big data
  • Tableau experts' take on the changing big data landscape

Robin Cottiss

Strategic Sales Consultant, Tableau Software

In Robin's role as a strategic sales consultant at Tableau, he helps our customers see and understand how Tableau integrates into their IT architectures. He specializes in big data and security. Robin has worked with data and IT systems as a DBA, systems manager, web developer, and business intelligence (BI) architect for 30 years. Before joining Tableau in 2013, he used Tableau as a customer. In his spare time Robin tries to get away from data and systems, but he usually fails. For example: he once built a brick oven in his back yard to bake bread and pizza, but the first thing he did was embed sensors so he could visualize the temperature over time as the oven warmed and cooled.
