Tableau Prep FAQs
Customers with Tableau Creator licences will receive a Tableau Prep licence at the time of launch via the Customer Portal. Users can also access Tableau Prep using Login-Based Licence Management, logging in to Tableau Cloud or Server first, then authenticating the Creator licence key.
- Log into your Customer Portal and go to “All Keys Report”
- You will find a Tableau Prep key in each qualifying portal account
- Distribute to existing Creator licence holders

Only Customer Portal Licence Administrators have visibility to the Tableau Prep keys. Please contact your administrator and request the key. In the meantime, you have 14 days with Tableau Prep before you’ll need to enter a product key. Download Tableau Prep now.
