Which Country Has the Most Wimbledon Wins?

Wimbledon, the biggest event in tennis, started today. The Guardian Data Blog has posted the tournament history data and a cool viz by Stephen McDaniel of Freakalytics showing all Wimbledon wins by country and player.

Use the decade filter to see winners from 1880's through 2010 and the gender filter to switch between men and women winners. The British and American men look strong, until you compare their win percentages to those for American women. Nice work ladies!
