After some engaging conversations with our (very passionate!) customers on the Roadshow, I want to address a topic that frequently came up.

The majority of our Tableau for Teaching instructors work with university students. However, on occasion, we see innovative examples of data analysis skills being introduced early on, to high school students. This summer, Professor William McHenry led an information technology career camp using Tableau, for 26 high school students.

Tableau for Teaching (TfT) is a program that offers free classroom use of Tableau for instructors aiming to help their students better analyze and visualize data. Participants vary in discipline, from business administration, computer science, to public health. Recently, students at the Rutgers University Graduate School of Communication and Information shared their class project with us. Their instructor, Professor Anselm Spoerri assigned the class to evaluate and design innovative visualizations.

Chutes and Ladders is a popular game in our family; it's great for evening "together time" without the need for deep strategizing. If you played the game as a kid, you probably enjoyed the back-and-forth of advancing up the board and then sliding back down. And if you ever played it as an adult, you've probably wondered when the game is going to end! I've got some answers and advice.
