Tableau Server on VMware VSphere

This is a guide to deploying Tableau Server on VMware VSphere. When deploying a Tableau Server cluster on VMware virtual machines, Tableau Server can be migrated between VMs eliminating the need for backup hardware and manual failover intervention. The testing conducted by Tableau using Tableau Server installed on VMware using vMotion has yielded significant benefits and generated the following recommendations for deploying Tableau Server on VMware Infrastructure.
