プライベート接続: 追加のコネクタ

データへのプライベート接続でパブリックなインターネットから分離して、セキュリティを強化することができます。Tableau Cloud と AWS でホスティングされているデータベース (PostgreSQL、MySQL、MSSQL、Oracle DB、Aurora など) の接続には AWS PrivateLink を使用でき、それによってパブリックなインターネットに情報をさらすことなく、専用のセキュアなプライベート接続が確立されます。

また非公開接続機能は、Redshift、PostgreSQL、MySQL、MSSQL、Oracle DB、Aurora のリージョン間接続に対応。仮想接続もサポートしています。

カスタムドメイン

Tableau Cloud サイトのカスタムドメインで、ユーザーにシームレスなブランド体験を提供できるようになりました。埋め込みの場合にサードパーティー Cookie が不要になるとともに、ユーザーはシンプルな覚えやすい URL で分析結果にアクセスできます。

プラットフォームデータ API

Tableau Cloud のアクティビティやイベントのデータに、AWS S3 統合を行わずに、プログラムでアクセスすることができるようになりました。この新しい API を使うと、統合イベントログを取得し、カスタムのモニタリング、SIEM 取り込み、自社データウェアハウスでの分析を行うことができます。
注: ほぼリアルタイムのログと S3 統合の機能は、Tableau Enterprise と Tableau+ バンドルでのみ提供されます。

REST API を利用した SAML 構成

新たに登場した SAML 構成 REST API で、複数サイトのセキュリティ管理を効率化するとともに規模拡大することができます。Tableau Cloud Manager と Tableau Cloud サイトのどちらでも、プログラムで SAML の構成が可能になり、ID プロバイダー (IdP) 認証資格情報のローテーションを自動化するスクリプトも作成できます。

Tableau Cloud 統合アクセストークン

統合 JWT 認証ソリューションはマルチサイトの管理をシンプルにし、堅牢な自動化を実現します。管理しにくい個人用アクセストークンを刷新するこのセキュアな最新手法で、Tableau Cloud 環境全体の API アクセスが一元管理できるようになります。

Tableau Agent: フィールドの説明の取り込み

詳しいビジネスコンテキストで Tableau Agent を強化して、AI が生成するインサイトの質と妥当性を高めることができます。Tableau Agent がデータカタログにあるフィールドの説明を利用できるようになり、基本的なメタデータを超える情報が得られるため、いっそう的確で価値の高い回答を提供できます。

Viz 拡張機能の強化

サンキーダイアグラムと表の Viz 拡張機能が強化され、作成時の自由度とコントロール性が向上しました。各機能で使い勝手がさらに向上し、サンキーダイアグラムではラベルやカラーマッピング調整の機能が強化されたほか、表でも列のフィルタリング機能が強化され、一度で表全体の NULL 値の表示をカスタマイズできるようにもなりました。今回強化された機能は、Tableau Desktop、Cloud、Server、Public で利用可能になる予定です。

円形チャートの Viz 拡張機能

説得力あるドーナツチャートやサンバースト図を簡単に作成して、部分対全体の関係を視覚化できるようになりました。この新しい Viz 拡張機能は、[マーク] カードのドロップダウンや [表示形式] から、ワークブックに直接追加することが可能です。見る人に好まれる円形チャートを使ってドラッグ & ドロップ操作でデータを視覚化すると、階層関係がわかりやすくなります。Tableau Desktop、Cloud、Server、Public で利用可能です。

カスタムカラーパレット

Tableau Desktop でカスタムカラーパレットを直接作成、保存して、ブランドの一貫性を確保しながらビジュアライゼーションを完璧にデザインしましょう。この新機能により、ワークブック全体でも複数のワークブックでも再利用が可能なパレットを作成、修正することができます。カスタムカラーパレットは設定ファイルに保存され、以降の Tableau Desktop 使用時にも利用可能です。

ワークブックへのカラーパレット割り当て

新しいパレット設定を使うと、ワークブック全体で簡単に色を統一できます。作成者は、カテゴリーや分化、連続の既定カラーパレットを一度設定するだけで、すべてのビジュアライゼーションやダッシュボードのスタイルを統一できるようになり、時間と手間が省けます。Tableau Desktop に加え、Tableau Cloud と Server の Web 作成機能でも利用可能です。

関連テーブルの追加

より正確なデータモデルをよりスピーディに作成できるようになりました。自動的に関連テーブルを追加し、その関係をデータモデルで定義することができます。データベースで定義された外部キーの制約がそのまま利用されるため、Tableau Desktop、Server、Cloud での設定がシンプルになります。

Tableau セマンティクコネクタの機能強化

Tableau Server で、Tableau セマンティクのモデルの詳しいセマンティック定義をシームレスに活用できます。また、このコネクタに加えられた新機能は Tableau Desktop、Server、Cloud のユーザーも利用可能です。今回、Tableau データソースの精緻化や拡張を行う場合に、すべてのユーザーとワークブックに対して、整備された Tableau セマンティクのデータソースが再利用できるようになりました。セマンティックモデルで定義されたグループやビンをビジュアライゼーションに追加することで、ユーザーは整備されたビジネスロジックを利用できます。マルチファクトセマンティックモデルを使ったビジュアライゼーションを作成して、領域横断分析をすることも可能になり、さらに、設定せずにビジュアライゼーションで画像を表示することもできます。

Tableau Server の SCIM サポート

Tableau Cloud ですでにリリースされた機能が Tableau Server にも登場。信頼できる情報源として ID プロバイダー (IdP) を利用して、Tableau Server にユーザーとグループをプロビジョニングできるようになりました。いくつものアプリケーションに対してユーザーとグループを手作業で管理する必要がなくなって効率が高まるうえ、SCIM を利用することで規格準拠を維持できます。

OpenID Connect の RP 起点のシングルログアウト

OpenID Connect の設定時に、Tableau Server 管理者はシングルログアウト (SLO) を有効にして、ビジネスユーザーにとっての使い勝手を向上させるとともに組織全体でセキュリティを強化することができるようになりました。この機能を有効にすると、ユーザーは Tableau Server からサインアウトすると、同時に ID プロバイダー (IdP) や関連するアプリケーションからもログアウトでき、孤立したセッションやセッションのハイジャックというリスクがなくなります。

Tableau Public 上のリアクション表示

新しい絵文字リアクションで、Tableau Public のビジュアライゼーションや作成者への反応を伝えることができます。見た人が作成者にフィードバックを直接伝えられる楽しい機能です。

Tableau Server の Tableau Agent

AI を活用したアシスタントの Tableau Agent を利用すると、Tableau Server でインサイトをスピーディに取得できます。データ準備からデータ探索、データビジュアライゼーションまで、分析のあらゆる段階で自然言語を使ってサポートを得ることができます。Tableau Server の Tableau Agent は、Tableau Prep と Web 作成の機能をサポートします。なお、Web 作成環境や Tableau Desktop で Tableau Agent をすぐ使用するには、事前に API キーを使って OpenAI に接続しておく必要があります。

信頼できる拡張機能

信頼できる拡張機能がすぐ見分けられるようになりました。管理者やアナリストは、Tableau Exchange で用意されている拡張機能を自信を持って導入できます。新たな青いチェックマークが付けられた拡張機能は、Tableau が展開、確認済み。Tableau によるコードレビュー、ネットワークテストを通過し、Tableau がホスティングして入手できるようにしており、セキュリティも管理していることを示します。
管理者は新しい設定を使って拡張機能の実行の可不可を決定できるため、Tableau が支援するこの基準と歩調を合わせることができます。また、信頼できる拡張機能はすべて、Tableau Public でも自動的に利用できるようになります。

Tableau Agent: ダッシュボード解説

AI 生成の直感的な説明でデータディスカバリが簡単になります。Tableau Agent が提供するダッシュボード解説は、ダッシュボードの簡潔な概要とあわせて各ビジュアライゼーションに対するインサイトを提示し、重要な傾向を明らかにします。

近日中に、Tableau Cloud と Desktop でベータ版が提供される予定です。

New Connectors for Private Connect

Securely connect more of your AWS data to Tableau Cloud without exposure to the public internet. Private Connect now supports AWS hosted MariaDB, Dermio Server, Teradata Server, Heroku, and Teradata Vantage Cloud, allowing you to use a dedicated and private connection to more of your data sources.

This feature addresses or partially addresses the following request on the Salesforce IdeaExchange: Implement AWS PrivateLink in Tableau Cloud.

Quickly evaluate a Tableau Pulse metric based on pacing and historical context. Now business users can see both the metric's progress to a set goal and its performance relative to the prior period directly on the metric card. Instead of having to click into the metric details, users can obtain a fuller sense of the metric's performance directly from the Tableau Pulse home page.

Easily explore the data behind a Tableau Pulse metric for deeper insights. Instead of only getting the datasource name in Tableau Pulse and having to search for the actual data, business users can now click into the datasource directly from the metric in Tableau Pulse.

Tableau Pulse: Q&A for Goals and Thresholds

Get intuitive answers around set goals and thresholds from Tableau Pulse. Tableau Pulse uses frontier LLMs to detect patterns, highlight risks, and now, explain changes across multiple metrics relative to their set goals and thresholds. In addition to getting pacing context from the individual metric, business users can now ask questions and get responses, enriched with these insights.

Tableau Pulse: Pace to Goal Insight

Instantly determine whether a Tableau Pulse metric is on pace to meet a set goal by the end of the period. When users click into the metric details, they will see the metric labeled as either 'On Track' (in green) or 'Off Track' (in red). At the chart level, users get a written progress summary and the explanatory chart, color coded to indicate pacing status. With this additional insight, business users can better prioritize their time and make smarter decisions, faster.
