Tableau Conference—Connecting Women in Data
Unlike most software and technology events, you'll notice that at the Tableau Conference we've got almost as many women as men in attendance. Women play a big role at Tableau as well. Just check out the recent Huffington Post article featuring Kelly Wright, our Executive Vice President of Sales, on her experiences being a female executive in a male-dominated field.
At the Tableau Conference this year, we'll be featuring many #WomenInData. On the stage in 6E, featured speakers will be sharing big ideas on opening up new product, business, and innovation opportunities with data, adapting to the pace of change in technology, and establishing a career in data science:
Hilary Mason, Data Scientist in Residence, Accel
The Data Opportunity
Tuesday September 9 at 12:30 pm
Rebecca Costa, Sociobiologist & Author, "The Watchman's Rattle"
Why Fast Adapters Win
Wednesday September 10 at 3:30 pm
Kate Mastudaira, Founder, Popforms
The Science of a Great Career in Data Science
Thursday September 11 at 10:45 am
We'll have countless breakout and hands-on training sessions led by women as well. Be sure to ask a Schedule Scout at any Answers Desk to find out which those are.
If you'd like to connect with other #WomenInData at conference this year, be sure to come to our first ever Women In Data Meetup on Tuesday, September 9 from 12:45 PM - 1:45 PM in the University Room at the Sheraton Hotel next to the WSCC. Space will be limited so be sure to get there early.
