And digging into the numbers helps us better understand ourselves, our neighbors, and our world. For organizations, this can yield a huge competitive advantage—if they can see and understand their data. And that’s why many are adopting a culture of self-service analytics.

We are excited to announce a new integration with NetSuite, a provider of cloud-based financials/ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites. We’ve added a new feature that exports NetSuite data as a .twbx file for easy analysis in Tableau.

Each Tableau user has a story to tell. A popular theme is that visualizing data leads to insights that were never before seen. The hero of this story is the one who sees and understands data using Tableau. But what about this insight? Rarely do we ponder where creative and insightful people come from. According to Sir Ken Robinson, they are made by nurturing their unique talents and passions.

I joined Tableau in September 2013 as a product consultant. We PCs are Tableau experts. We help with all things product-related, from technical sales to internal support and training, to content development. Basically, if you have a problem in Tableau, you get help from a PC. Every new PC starts working through the challenge workbook on the first day. The goal is to become an expert before ever getting on a customer call. This works so well for us internally that I thought it would only be fair to share with our community!
