Cloud Maturity: The Tableau Journey in the Public Cloud

Cloud management and security is inherently complex, involving 100+ app teams and 2000+ users building in 400+ AWS accounts. In 2016, our cloud-first strategy ignited AWS development, but we lacked resource-level visibility essential to identify vulnerabilities and rapidly scale Tableau Online global cloud infrastructure. So, the Tableau Cloud Infrastructure team introduced a cloud maturity score to drive cloud architecture innovation and governance. Guided by cloud best practices, we paired our custom serverless scanning application built on GraphDB with Tableau. Armed with new tools and data, our teams improved their maturity scores and have the data they need to continue striving for cloud-native architecture. Hear how we did it and what we learned."
