Wipro partners with Tableau to help customers unlock value in data

Wipro Limited is a global information technology, consulting and business process services company headquartered in Bangalore, India. With a comprehensive portfolio of solutions ranging from data analytics to cloud and infrastructure services, Wipro helps clients adapt, innovate and excel in the digital world. Business Intelligence and Visualization Practice Manager, Avaanticka Narayan, shares how Wipro and Tableau work in partnership to solve common IT problems faced by customers, and help them unlock value in data.

Advanced visualization helps build predictive maintenance capabilities

Tableau’s advanced visualization and forecasting capabilities help Wipro’s customers derive insights from their data to solve their business challenges. An example Avaanticka shares is a predictive maintenance framework Wipro created for one of the largest power distribution companies in the world. Integrating several tools with Wipro’s data discovery platform, with Tableau as the key visualization layer, Wipro successfully helped the customer prevent losses from equipment failure and yield an increase in revenue.

We no longer work in a world where events are isolated. We work in a moving world where everybody and everything has to be connected really well. With Tableau, our customers are able to see what they really want, and that’s quite key for us.

Partnering with customers to unlock value in their data

Wipro and Tableau also have a very strong partnership, working closely together to solve common IT problems faced by customers. As an analytics tool, Tableau’s key impact is helping Wipro’s clients gain insight into their businesses. This is crucial, as data has become ubiquitous in today’s world, and success depends on “how well we can use that data, derive insight and predict what is possibly going to happen in future", shares Avaanticka.

“We no longer work in a world where events are isolated. We work in a moving world where everybody and everything has to be connected really well,” she says. “So with Tableau, our customers are able to see what they really want, and that’s quite key for us.”
