Tutte le storie di Tableau Community

Recently, one of our longtime friends, Andy Kriebel asked why we've dropped "customer" from our conference name. The answer? We welcome everyone to come and talk about data. The outcome of that is to further inspire our customers.

Last month was Data Journalism Month over on the Tableau Public site, and we had the pleasure of shining the spotlight on the women and men who tell the world's data stories for their profession. We interviewed Sarah Ryley from the New York Daily News and Claire Miller from the Trinity Mirror in the UK. We shared our thoughts on how data visualization enhances the news, and we announced a 5 week online course for journalists. We joined journalists at news:rewired, Tapestry and NICAR, and posted some of the training materials we covered.

Happy 2014! Hope your new year is off to a great start. Things are definitely great in the land of Tableau blogs. Here's the list of awesome content I've seen during the month of January. I'm filling in for Andy this month, you can always follow him on twitter (@acotgreave) if you want to hear about these posts the moment they are published.

We love data visualisation competitions. Inspired by Facebook and Emily Kund's efforts, Mike Evans has created VizWars, a data visualisation event in Irvine, California, on February 11th. We recommend you go along and join him for VW1!

Welcome to the final 2013 Best of Tableau Web, looking back at December's blogging content. For those of you who aren't yet blogging, I hope they inspire you to start.

Alongside household names like LinkedIn and Wells Fargo, you'll have the chance to hear from small- and medium-sized companies and agencies, including AudienceAudit, Manpower Group and the Broad Institute.
