About

Naimul interned at Tableau research, and is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Iowa. He earned his PhD at the College of Information Studies (iSchool), University of Maryland, College Park where he worked with Professor Niklas Elmqvist in the Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL). His research focuses on understanding how data visualization can help us to design AI-assisted applications that are safe, reliable, and trustworthy. Previously, he obtained a Master's in Computer Science from Stony Brook University in 2020 and a B.Sc in Computer Science from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2015.
