About

Manling is a PhD student in Computer Science at Tufts University, advised by Prof. Remco Chang. Her research broadly focuses on information visualization, visual communication, and human–AI interaction. She is particularly interested in how visualization design shapes the way people reason with, interpret, and communicate data in AI-mediated information environments. Her current work explores theory-based approaches to visualization design and AI-mediated support for dashboard understanding and authoring.
