Announcing Tableau’s first DataDev Day
From day one, developers have been an important part of the Tableau community. Our DataDevs use their understanding of Tableau and coding skills to build and fine-tune Tableau for their organizations. They also strengthen our platform by building extensions or Web Data Connectors, embed Tableau into solutions that empower more users with easy-access data and analysis, and do even more.
You are a huge part of what makes the Tableau community awesome, you are inspiring, and we feel that positive, powerful energy should be captured and channeled for others’ benefit.
Announcing DataDev Day: for and by DataDevs
We’re excited to announce a new, one-day event happening Thursday, May 20—an event that’s dedicated to DataDevs and anyone interested in or using the Tableau developer platform to create integrations and customize Tableau for their organizations.
Register now at www.tableau.com/DataDevDay to save your spot and take advantage of valuable sessions featuring our own Tableau experts and top developers from our community, office hours, and opportunities to network. Sharpen your skills, conduct technical deep dives, and learn about deploying for an enterprise...we’ll offer something for everyone!
Non-developers are welcome, too
Are you curious about our developer platform? Ever wondered how to create extensions? Then, you may be a DataDev! Come one, come all, and be inspired by learning how to use Tableau’s APIs.
Innovate and create
In addition to DataDev Day, we will hold our annual hackathon, virtually. It’s a fan favorite at TC (Tableau Conference). To enter, you’ll build something solo or as part of a team, using the Tableau developer platform. We will announce registration, judging criteria, the judging pane—and of course prizes—soon!
If you’re new, join our Developer Program and be invited to the next DataDev orientation for an overview of the platform and available APIs. And get a chance to meet our team of Developer Advocates and experts who can answer your initial questions and more. We look forward to meeting you!
