Advancing Gender Equality

The ONE Campaign

Organizing advocacy efforts around the world’s most pressing issues

The biggest issues in the world—health disparities, poverty, and gender inequity—are all interconnected. Through data-driven advocacy, The ONE Campaign is calling for change.

Partnership start date: 2017

Total funding committed: $873,750

Region: Global

What they do
The ONE Campaign calls for an end extreme poverty and preventable disease by 2030. They do this by putting pressure governments to take action on these critical issues. One initiative, Poverty is Sexist, ONE convened over 40 activists to co-sign a letter to world leaders calling for tangible progress on advancing the rights of women and girls. Another, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, has mobilized billions of dollars for medical staff delivering vaccines and care for people affected by these diseases.

What our partnership does
ONE relies on data to back up the advocacy work that they do. Through partnering with Tableau Foundation, they’re able to visualize and share the complex data they work with, and incorporate more data analytics across all of their advocacy work.
