What They Do
Community Solutions’ model starts and ends with the individual. Together with cities and organizations that work on homelessness, Community Solutions builds out a “by-name list,” continually updated with real-time data, of every person living on the streets. This shared platform allows everyone working on homelessness to access up-to-date information on individuals’ needs and target their support accordingly.
What Our Partnership Does
Data is key to the process of understanding individuals’ circumstances and creating their paths out of homelessness. Through an initiative called Built for Zero, Community Solutions and their partner cities use Tableau to build out dashboards so agencies can respond to individuals' needs in real time while working toward the broader goal of reaching "functional zero" in chronic and veteran homelessness.
