How to equip students with strong analytical skills

Incorporating data literacy into a curriculum is an opportunity for higher education to make an impact on students as they prepare to enter the workforce. Being able to generate value from data requires many different skills. In the Big Data Analytics program at IE Business School, one of the top business schools in the world, the aim is to cover the majority of these skills.

In this 45-minute webinar, Professor Josep Curto will share how he:

  • Prepares his course curriculum and defines learning objectives
  • Gives students the skills to identify and use data relevant to their field of study and the world around them
  • Uses Tableau to teach business intelligence and data warehouse principles rather than spending hours learning the software
The webinar will highlight several aspects of Tableau that make it a useful tool for teaching students the power of data. Professor Curto will explain, by using some concrete examples, why he selected Tableau as one of the tools for supporting the learning process.
