Before you click and continue on, I’d like to entice you to read on as I give you my thoughts on the new Tableau Certified Associate Consultant & Tableau Certified Associate Architect exams. Hitting on the three hot topics: why do these exams matter, what is in it for me and how do these exams differ from the existing Tableau product certifications? Intrigued? Let’s continue...

Why do these exams matter?

These exams are a key requirement to meet your select or premier status within the Tableau Partner Network. Additionally, they validate the credibility of the partner in either analytics consulting or solutions architect proficiencies to both internal and external stakeholders. Earning the Certified Associate Consultant and/or the Certified Associate Architect Certification status serves as a differentiator in the marketplace.

What's in it for you?

Earning your Certified Associate Consultant and/or the Certified Associate Architect Certification increases your professional credibility. Show your colleagues and clients that you possess the skills needed to succeed and that you were willing to put forth the time and effort to get certified. Additionally, it can be a great addition to your career development and growth. Stand out during the hiring process in a competitive market or show your current employer that you are putting forth the effort to learn new technologies or enhance the skills you currently possess. The BI industry is constantly evolving, there’s a real need for all organisations to have subject matter experts, earning one of these certifications makes you extremely knowledgeable and valuable.

How do these exams differ from the existing Tableau product certifications?

The Tableau Certified Associate Consultant & the Tableau Certified Associate Architect exams prove skills beyond technical knowledge. They show you can help customers to progress along their path to becoming a data-driven organisation through discovery conversations and Tableau Blueprint implementation. These exams are knowledge-based and do not require the use of Tableau products in order to complete them. The current product certifications ( i.e. Tableau Desktop Specialist) are focused on a person's technical product knowledge and require you to answer question-based upon using the Tableau platform.
