Ask Why? – Applying the 5 Whys Technique to Data Analysis

Sales are down. Costs are high. Resources are underused. Familiar scenarios?

Identifying a problem in your organization is the first step, and often the easy part. But what then? How do you get to the root cause of the problem, and take action?

The 5 Whys technique was created many years ago by Sakichi Toyoda and has become the go-to business approach for exploring the cause and effect relationships of a particular problem. Imagine if you could apply this approach to your data analysis as well?

Data visualization tools are great at showing you the problems, via high level KPI dashboards, for example. But again, this is only the beginning. Do they provide you with the flexibility and analytical depth required to ask new questions and get to the bottom of the issue?

Join us for this webinar to learn:

  • The power of visual analytics.
  • The impact of asking questions of your data in a flowing, free-form way.
  • How to get to the root cause of your organizations issues, and take the appropriate corrective action driving to greater business success.
