Wow! We received more than 50 applications for our customer speaker sessions at the Tableau Customer Conference in Barcelona April 3-4. Thank you, one and all, for sharing the amazing things you’re doing with Tableau.
So who will take the stage in April? Let’s get the introductions rolling.
First up, we’ve got Jon Beer, Director of Technology Architecture at Informa in the UK. Challenged to find and deliver valuable data stories to their customers, Informa sought a better solution. “From the moment we discovered Tableau, it became increasingly clear that the technology had huge potential to transform how we deliver data-driven products to our customers,” explained Jon. (Yes, that's Jon below.)
Jon will share Informa’s rollout and Tableau workbooks to illustrate how they’ve helped revolutionize their industry research and news businesses in less than twelve months.
Next I’m excited to introduce Derk Busser, Business Analyst at De Bijenkorf, the largest and most luxurious department store in The Netherlands and a subsidiary of Selfridges Group Limited. You can imagine how much data is at hand – web analytics, CRM, product data to name a few. In six months he’s helped develop a complete eCommerce dashboard and reporting system using Tableau as both a front-end as well as a prototyping tool to model the entire architecture. WHEW.
How does De Bijenkorf take advantage of all this data? Derk will share how he combines both quantitative and qualitative data to create rich dashboards to help drive the business ahead.
