Gunther Hagleitner

Gunther Hagleitner is Senior Vice President of Engineering at Salesforce, leading agentic search and query that powers Tableau, Data 360, and Agentforce. He joined through Salesforce's acquisition of Waii, the agentic SQL and knowledge graph startup he co-founded and led as CEO.

Prior to Waii, he led product and engineering at Cribl, re-inventing observability for the AI era. Before that, he led product and engineering for data warehousing and analytics at Cloudera, laying the foundation for the modern data architecture. With 20+ years in data, analytics, and AI, he believes agent architecture and the knowledge graph beneath it are what separates demos from production.

Gunther has been a PMC Member of the Apache Software Foundation for both Apache Hive and Apache Tez since 2013. He holds a master's degree in mathematics and computer science.
