Community Highlight
To recognize new and consistent Tableau contributors—we’re excited to have a section within the weekly DataFam Roundup called the Tableau Community Highlight. Find out how to get involved.
Deepak Holla, Freelance Developer
Karnataka, India
Deepak Holla is a Freelance Developer. When learning Tableau, Deepak grasped concepts easily in theory but found it hard to apply to actual visualizations. This led him to start publishing dashboards on Tableau Public to gain tangible experience and practice the concepts he was learning. Now, Deepak publishes vizzes on Tableau Public on topics such as sports, the stock market, and climate change in addition to actively sharing content on his Medium blog and Linkedin.
Motivated by wanting to research Tableau concepts in more depth, Deepak began writing articles for his Medium blog. He now chooses topics to write about based on what he was unable to find sufficient documentation for during his journey in learning Tableau.
On Linkedin, Deepak started sharing content in the form of PDF documents that were targeted at Tableau newbies. Over time, he has shifted to sharing shorter posts meant to grab the attention of his viewers with the inclusion of images to help reinforce new concepts. Deepak chooses to share his knowledge this way in order to give back to the Tableau Community as it was valuable to him early in his learning journey.
Connect with Deepak on Linkedin, Tableau Public, and on his blog.
