Tableau Opens First Canadian Office in Vancouver

Tableau Software, a global leader in rapid-fire business analytics software, today announced that it has opened an office in City of Vancouver, BC, Canada. The company will host a recruiting happy hour on Thursday, November 12 to meet with the community and candidates to discuss open and future positions.

The Tableau happy hour will take place at Waterview, 2nd Floor, 1661 Granville St. in Vancouver at 5:00 p.m. PT. Tableau Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, Christian Chabot, and Chief Development Officer and co-founder, Chris Stolte, will speak at the event. A Vancouver native, Stolte co-founded Tableau with Chabot, and Chief Scientist, Pat Hanrahan. He completed his undergraduate work at Simon Fraser University and received a Ph.D. from Stanford University, where Tableau was founded out of the Stanford computer science department in 2003. Tableau moved its headquarters to Seattle shortly thereafter.

To accelerate hiring and its business launch plans, the company will immediately start operating at 885 West Georgia Street, Suite 1500, while it completes the search and fitout of a permanent office location.
