Leading Industry Analyst Report Includes Tableau Software as Example Vendor for Ease of Use and Implementation Costs
Tableau Software, a global leader in rapid-fire business intelligence software, today announced that Gartner has highly ranked Tableau in categories such as ease of development and ease of use in its Survey Analysis: Customers Rate Their BI Platform Implementation Costs*. Tableau also ranked high in product quality and had a low average implementation cost per user.
These findings come on the heels of the Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms** report, which positioned Tableau as a “challenger” based on its ability to execute and completeness of vision. The survey examines several factors that affect implementation costs. According to the report, “ease of use appears to translate into lower implementation costs, in part because easy-to-use tools allow IT developers and other BI authors to develop BI content more quickly. It also allows more business users with fewer technical skills to create their own reports and analysis, thereby saving costs incurred by contracting IT specialists to design them.”
The report also concludes that platforms that enable easier content development tend to have lower implementation costs per user.
