Yep, you heard right, this is your chance to be Tableau famous! We want to showcase the most beautiful, most inspiring vizzes in our Viz Gallery. Why do we come to you? Well, you represent the best of the best. We would love to highlight the best work from our best people. So show us your top vizzes and we'll pick the 5 winners to showcase on the website, and share them with the world.

Please note: This contest is exclusive to Tableau Zen Masters and Tableau Ambassadors as a way to recognize your amazing contributions to the Tableau Community, please don’t share with others!

Here are the submission requirements:

We built the Viz Gallery as a place to inspire creativity. We want to show everyone the power of Tableau, and the potential of what it can do.

The vizzes should:

  • Demonstrate viz best practices
  • Be non-hacky. They should demonstrate the straightforward functionality of Tableau
  • Be able to be reverse engineered. The process doesn't need to be simple, but needs to be logical and explainable
  • Be clean on the backend. Specifically: hide unused fields, good use of folders, make sure things are well named (data & calcs), intermediate calcs are indicated as such, etc.
  • Use data that can be shared with the public
  • Use recent data, if possible (including info about the data source would be a huge plus)
  • Show off newer Tableau features (as a plus)
  • Be built in version 10.0 or higher

Judging Criteria:

Vizzes will be selected by an internal team, based on the criteria listed below.

  • Visual Appeal
  • Creativity in Chart Types
  • Data Analysis
  • Interesting, compelling insights

More Details:

  • Please also include 2-3 sentences describing what your viz is about
  • Limit of 2 submissions per person
  • All submissions must be uploaded by March 24, 2017
  • Winners will be announced April 7, 2017

The winning vizzes will be added to the Viz Gallery shortly after the winners are announced. We can't wait to see what you create!
