Tableau Awarded Hichert®IBCS Certification for International Business Communications Standards

Certification verifies that Tableau’s visual analytics meet international standards for visual design and ease-of-use

Tableau Software, a global leader in easy-to-use, rapid-fire business intelligence software, today announced that it has achieved Hichert®International Business Communications Standards (IBCS) Certification. The Hichert IBCS Certificate is awarded to software that can be used to create HICHERT®IBCS-compliant charts and tables.

The set of standards were developed by Hichert+Partner, a business communication consulting group founded by Dr. Rolf Hichert. IBCS examinations are conducted by BARC, an independent research and consulting institute for business software.

“Tableau Software is known for their quick and flexible interactive number analysis. The IBCS-certification team was positively surprised to learn that The Tableau Standard Function also impressively mapped out the Reporting-Templates required by IBCS-certification,” said Hichert. “Tableau thus impressively demonstrated its applicability for sophisticated reporting systems: here functions for flexible analysis unite with those for standard reports. We wish Tableau Software much success as they work with clients using the IBCS principles for advanced reporting systems.”

“Tableau’s visual analytics help people see and understand their data,” said Henrik Jorgensen, Country Manager for Austria, Germany, and Switzerland at Tableau Software. “This is further validation for our customers in the DACH region that Tableau meets the highest international standards for business communication and visualization.”
