The download file for this version has been removed due to the security issues currently identified in CVE-2021-44228 and CVE-2021-45046. In order to address these security issues, you must update to the newest version of your desired Tableau product. If you use the Data Catalog feature for Tableau Server (with the data management add-on), we recommend upgrading to Tableau Server 2019.3.4 or later. These versions contain a fix for an issue that prevents lineage from populating, database permissions not taking effect, and vizzes loading slowly. Resolved Issues

Issue ID Description

When attempting to load a dashboard from a workbook on Tableau Online, the dashboard does not render as expected. If the same workbook is opened in Web Edit mode it renders as expected.


Data leak across users/sessions when using URL parameters and published data source which uses custom SQL with a parameter.


When connecting to Tableau Server on Linux from Desktop on a Mac, the following error appears: "Cannot connect to Tableau Server. Please check the server name and port and try again."


Bridge client creates an error dialog to another error dialog that is about to be deleted.


Web Save may fail with "Incorrect data type." error.


Error loading viz on Bulk Muting page on tabAutoserver using tableau-2.2.2.js.


Error “No such function ANALYTIC_WINDOW_MAX that takes arguments of type (bool).” occurs when opening workbook connected to hyper data source.


Error "The data types varchar and uniqueidentifier are incompatible in the add operator" when viewing workbook in Tableau Online


If you use "copy link" and enter the link into a browser that is set to use Italian it does not work and generates a 404 error.


Extract refreshes intermittently failing with error message "Deadline Exceeded Unable to connect to the Amazon Athena server " Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database" when refreshing in Tableau Online.


Flexera Flexnet 11.16.2 and earlier versions are affected by several denial of service and remote code execution vulnerabilities. After publishing workbook with Story to Tableau Server, when the Story is viewed, the text object in the first Story Point will not be displayed, because Height of dashboard text objects in story point is set to 0px during bootstrapping.


Published workbooks viewed on iOS devices, in some proxy environments, fail to load with an unexpected token error or continuous spinner.


In an environment where Load Balancer is doing SSL offloading (Load Balancer is SSL and listening only on 443, TS is non-SSL), after publishing a data source from Tableau Desktop to Tableau Server, the Ask Data page fails to be loaded because the URL is http:// instead of https://.


Embedded View with Non-Default Port Redirects to Port 80 Incorrectly when Using SSPI Auto-Login.


Filter areas appear blank when using the Mobile app with iOS devices to connect to Tableau Server across a Reverse Proxy.


After upgrading Tableau Server,sometimes site-specific SAML logins failed.


When downloading worksheets that include Japanese or Korean text into Image/PDF/PowerPoint, the text wrapping becomes truncated compared the viz on Tableau Server 2018.3 on Linux.


Clicking an embed view link that contained spaces while not logged in took the user to the default landing page instead of the view.


When using Safari mobile browser on an iPad running iOS 13, dragging across a viz selected multiple marks instead of scrolling, and filters were not interactive. For more information, see Unexpected Behavior for Gestures and filters on iPads with iOS 13.


After workbook with live Excel data source has been published to Tableau Server on Linux, Null values appear.


When generating a set of Tableau Server tsm maintenance ziplogs -d, they contain a workgroup.pg_dump in each repository node folder.


Error [Hortonworks][Hardy] (80) Syntax or semantic analysis error thrown in server while executing query. Error message from server: Error while compiling statement: FAILED: SemanticException [Error 10001]: Line 2:5 Table not found when opening published HortonWorks data sources in Tableau Server or Tableau Desktop if a relative date filter is being used in a certain way.


"Invalid Tableau Format Type" error received when calling Javascript API getMarksAsync by clicking different map filters on dashboard.


When you used Tableau Desktop to open a downloaded workbook that was created in Tableau Online or Tableau Server, an "Unable to Complete Action 'Value'" error sometimes occurred.


After removing nodes from Tableau Server the removed nodes are still showing in the list-ports command.


When the install directory contained parentheses "()", install or upgrade sometimes failed at "71% - Failed to start search server".


If the Google drive API had not been enabled for your project, attempting to connect to Google Sheets resulted in repeated prompts for credentials rather than a descriptive error message.


In Tableau Server 2019.2 and 2019.3, Active Directory sync and import operations sometimes took longer than in 2019.1 or earlier versions, and sometimes failed unexpectedly.

When you made a filter selection and then selected multiple marks on the view, sometimes incorrect marks were highlighted.
