Tableau Server Upgrades
Windows versions of Tableau Server starting with 2018.2 come with a new web-based server configuration utility called Tableau Services Manager (TSM). Upgrading from 2018.1 or earlier to a newer version will require special steps in order to upgrade successfully. Please see this article for instructions on what has changed to ensure your upgrade experience goes well. The latest releases of Tableau Server 2018.2 and Tableau Server 2018.3 can be found on the Tableau Server release page.
Note: The 10.2.3 release is affected by two known issues relating to extracts with hidden fields. During extract refreshes, fields that were previously hidden may become unhidden. Extract refreshes may also fail with the error “Bin depends on non-existent field, ignoring bin”. These issues can lead to slower extracts, larger extract sizes on disk, and decreased viz performance. For more information, see 670693 and 669802 at Known Issues.
Release Notes for Tableau 10.2.3
Note: Tableau Desktop customers in environments with Product Updates enabled will be prompted to upgrade a few days after a maintenance release is made available. For more information, see the Tableau Knowledge Base.
