Because of an issue that’s preventing Tableau Bridge 2018.2-2018.3 from performing extract refreshes, Tableau strongly recommends that you upgrade to Tableau Bridge 2019.1 or later. For more information, see the Error "There was problem and the data engine could not start properly" when Refreshing Data in Tableau Bridge article in the Tableau Knowledge Base.
Extract refreshes in Tableau Bridge 2018.2 sometimes failed with a "Tabprotosrv cannot start or shut down unexpectedly" error.
When "Allow connected clients.." was disabled on Tableau Online, Tableau Bridge displayed a "This datasource is corrupted. Republish the data source from Tableau Desktop" error, although refreshes continued to run successfully.
When an extract refresh failed, the email alert was sent twice.
