Tableau Prep 2019.2, 2018.3, and 2018.1 do not allow assigning the "\" character as column separator in text files. When it is entered into the custom separator box, the box disappears and the Other selection turns to Comma.


Tableau Prep will fail to output a file after the specific steps of splitting a column and then pivoting those columns from columns to rows. The error "Failure evaluating to database: ERROR: collation mismatch, use COLLATE statements to resolve" is displayed.


When running a flow where a step is using ISNULL and IIF functions that step fails and produces the error "Collation mismatch use collate statements to resolve".
