Meet the speakers:
Tom Barber, Data Product Manager, Virgin Atlantic. After five years of using Tableau Desktop and Server, Tom continues to develop his skills as an advanced user and evangelist of self-service BI. Tom made a significant contribution to the development of a Tableau Centre of Excellence (CoE) at easyJet; one of the UK's biggest low cost airlines and has now use that experience built to replicate a CoE from the ground up in his latest role at Virgin Atlantic.
Liezl Brouckaert, Business Intelligence Manager, Comair Limited. Liezl currently provides leadership and innovation to Comair ensuring that the Business Intelligence strategy of Transparency and Self-Service is driven enterprise-wide. Having been in the Travel industry for 24 years moving through Operations, Application Testing, Online Booking Tool implementation, Product Procurement, Liezl feels that these areas have groomed her to have a deep appreciation for data and its value. Liezl questions the status quo with the intent to innovate. For her it is of vital importance that an Information and Analytics team has the tools that will allow them to import, store, prepare, blend, and deploy the data from multiple sources to the data stewards who build analytical visualizations that suit the business needs.
