USDA Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM) - A Journey to Transform: HR Analytics and Beyond
Within USDA, there is an abundance of HR Data on several different HR systems and they currently have no interoperability between them. Although we currently have HR data to address requests of information from Congress, OMB and OSEC, to name a few, the time required to retrieve and properly analyze that information is cumbersome and requires numerous man hours. The Centralized Data Lake project will use data analytics and a dashboard that will provide this interoperability so that fact based data can be used for sound decision making.

USDA APHIS Veterinary Services - Creating a Data-Driven Culture: Showing the Value of Tableau through Productivity and Innovation
How does an organization change the culture from manual updates of reports (driven by Excel spreadsheets) to become more productive and innovative? USDA APHIS Veterinary Services is using Tableau Software to reduce the amount of time spent in Excel. We are automating reporting, creating self-service analytics, and replacing difficult-to-interpret tables with interactive data visualization products that communicate information in a way more and more people can understand and appreciate.

Tableau is always working to make analytics faster, easier, and more effective. Across the USDA, Tableau is helping customers see and understand their data. Be it HR, Finance, or front-line scientific analysis, Tableau is working to help make sense of the vast amounts of data agencies confront on a daily basis.
