During this virtual user group meeting you will learn how to architect & configure Tableau Server nodes and how to manage a Tableau powered Center of Excellence to support 4,000+ enterprise users.
Agenda: Tableau Server Architecture, Configuration Demo and Governance Process
When you ramp up Tableau Server to thousands of users, there are many things to consider, such as scalability, high availability, security and data governance. This session will focus on the challenges related to large deployments of self-services analytics. It will focus on how to improve the technology, people, and processes in order to effectively implement Tableau internally.
Santosh Adari from NetApp will present the system architecture they've used to scale to 4,000 users. This presentation will include a demo of some of the Tableau Server configurations and monitoring tools used:
- HA clusters, hardware configurations, SSO, load balancer
- Monitoring (TabMon, customized admin views)
- Alerts (performance alerts, extracts failure alerts)
- How to distribute admin work (sites, site admin)
Mark Wu will talk about how the Tableau Center of Excellence works to achieve governed self-service across the enterprise:
