This session will provide an overview of the APIs and tools provided by Tableau's platform. We'll take a closer look at some things of interest to Server administrators.
How Sprint uses Published Data Sources (PDS) to give Data freedom to its Tableau users via Web Authoring, but still control it with their Tableau Server Permission scheme.
Meet the Speakers:
Ben Lower leads Tableau's developer platform work which focuses on enabling automation, embedding, integration, and extending Tableau in new ways.
Robb Yeager is a Senior Data Engineer at Sprint within the Network OSS Department. Robb has been using Tableau for over eight years, and leads a team Tableau Administrators responsible for an 104 core Tableau server. He is involved with all things Tableau. He hosts training sessions on all Tableau topics from logging into server to complex desktop visualizations. He also is responsible for all server hardware forecasting, performance monitoring, server installation and upgrade activities.
Rich Thorne is a Senior Network Engineer at Sprint within the Network OSS Department. Rich has been using Tableau since 2013. Rich is the one of the Tableau Administrators responsible for an 104 core Tableau server. He is the guy responsible for our server permission scheme. He also manages our user requests, server authentication and is responsible for our F5 Local Traffic Manager.
