About the Speakers
Joe Gardiner - Director of Administrative and Academic Technologies, The State University of New York
Joe started his SUNY career in June, 2002 as the project manager for the University Systems Strategic Business Plan (transitioning all mainframe applications into web technologies). In February 2005, Joe accepted the position of Director of Application Development where he was responsible for all U-wide application development efforts within the Enrollment Management, Finance & Management, Human Resources, and Institutional Research functional areas as well as overseeing the development of the SUNY wide data warehouse. In 2018 Joe’s title changed to Director of Academic and Administrative Technologies. In addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities, Joe now has managerial responsibilities for the day-to-day operations (Production Control, LAN Services, User Services, Networking, Help Desk, etc.) for System Administration.
