RIDE is in year 1 of its 5-year strategic plan that lists transparency as one of its core values.  Tableau is at the heart of how they achieve that value by presenting complex data both to the public and internal stakeholders.  They have several robust initiatives that place Tableau dashboard as the foundation for the presentation of data, including their LEA and school report card website and their Data Center website.

Agbonlahor U. Edomwonyi, a Data Scientist from the city of Newark, will be presenting on how Newark used Tableau visualizations to understand their data and craft a compelling narrative around that data. They will focus on a few key dashboards they built out, specifically focusing on the interactivity of those dashboards as well as how they were able to leverage existing resources and learning tools from Tableau to allow for a quick and easy onboarding process for new users.
