David has served as the Manager of WIC’s Quality and Innovation branch, since April of 2015. Prior to this, he has over 25 years of experience in the private sector, working in multiple areas of information management and technology; specifically, in the areas of data and predictive analytics, performance management, metadata and taxonomy, and business intelligence.
David’s role at WIC, is to innovate new practices and methods to engage and interact with WIC’s nearly 800,000 clients, as well as reach the rest of the eligible Texas population to inform them of the valuable services WIC has to offer. Through WIC’s Data and Business Intelligence services, David’s team helps develop strategies that enhance WIC client experiences, improve operational performance, and helps drive insightful executive decision making.
David also studies human behaviors, with a focus on generational research. This has led him to having a keen understanding of how innovation can improve and strengthen experiences in the workplace; and if applied strategically, these improved experiences, can enhance an organization's leverage, value, and impact.
