Have you used Tableau's Web Data Connector? Do you want to learn more about how to use and how it was created? Join us for another session of Dev Office Hours to ask questions and learn more from the Tableau Developers of the WDC, Brendan Lee and Samm Desmond.
We'll start with a sneak peek of the 2.0 version of the WDC, then we'll open it up for you to start asking away.
Brendan Lee, Product Manager
Brendan is the Product Manager for the Web Data Connector platform, as well as the SDK. Currently, he is working with the team to deliver version 2.0 of WDC API, which will allow you to build much more powerful and reliable connectors between Tableau and the data you care about.
Samm Desmond, Software Engineer
Meet Samm. A Wisconsin native who’s passionate about hackathons, Samm works on the Data Features team at Tableau. “The Web Data Connector started as a hackathon project about two years ago,” Samm says. His primary role at Tableau has been developing this feature for wider use. Samm loves to tinker, and has built some of his own stuff with the Web Data Connector, including this Square connector. And in his free time, he never sits still. He’s traveled to 25 countries in the last five years—and he just added five more to the list last winter!
